Hyperparallel OCT (HP-OCT) is a unique 3D spectral imaging technology that measures full volume images of the eye at over 300,000 A-scans per second.

Advantages of Hyperparallel OCT include:

  • Insensitive to sample movement for clinical applications due to high data capture rates.
  • Greatly enhanced frame registration due to multiple simultaneous surface measurements
  • Dense B-scan and volumetric imaging over a very fine lateral grid

Technology Backgrounder

As an initial technology demonstrator, we presented measurements on “3D spectral imaging for anterior segment metrology” in a paper given by Trevor Anderson, our Chief Scientist, in the session on Optical Coherence Tomography and Coherence Domain Optical Methods in Biomedicine XIX on Monday, 9th February 2015 at the BiOS/Photonics West Conference in San Francisco.
