The founding team have over 80 years experience in optics and have founded and grown a number of companies in the optical space which have generated over $1bn in revenues.

We are based in Melbourne, Australia and are shipping our Hyperparallel OCT product to customers around the world.  To support our rapid growth, we have a range of positions opening up at our Melbourne headquarters. Manufacturing Technicians

Cylite is looking for full-time Manufacturing Technicians to join our rapidly-growing production team.  Working in a collaborative environment these roles include detailed inspection of components, assembly of parts and testing of systems to achieve our high-quality requirements. Responsibilities include:

  • Inspection and measurement of components against drawings.
  • Operation of test equipment and reporting of quality issues.
  • Inventory control including stock checks, labelling and record keeping.
  • Kitting of components according to work orders.
  • Preparation and cleaning of sensitive optical and electronic parts for clean room assembly.
  • Optical assembly according to documented processes.
  • System assembly including handling PCBA’s and wiring looms.
  • Testing of products per work instructions.

The successful applicants will have manufacturing experience involving detailed assembly of parts in a regulated industry with a strong work ethic and good communication skills.  Experience in handling electronic assemblies and PCBA testing would be highly advantageous, as would experience in handling optical components and working in a clean-room environment.  The ideal candidate would also have qualification in a technical field to TAFE or Diploma Level and experience in high-precision manufacturing or a laboratory type environment.
